Sites and Monuments of Interest
The Cathedral with its 3 magnificent doors: that of the irons (baroque), that of the Apostles (Gothic) and the door of the Palau (Romanesque). The Miguelete, the bell tower from which to enjoy the best views of Valencia. And the Plaza de la Virgen, the place where the Roman forum was. The Serranos Towers are considered to be the largest Gothic gates in Europe. They were built at the end of the 14th century by Pere Balaguer as part of the fortified city. They were used as a prison and serve as a triumphal bow in different festivities.
Meet the Albufera, Valencia’s most important natural setting
The Parc Natural de l’Albufera is one of the most representative and valuable coastal wetlands of the Valencian Community and the Mediterranean basin. With an area of 21,120 hectares, it is located just 10 km from Valencia. Its proximity and ease of access make it a perfect excuse to leave the city and practice observing nature. Throughout the year, the great biodiversity of this protected natural area allows to observe an important variety of fauna and flora.
